Ray Buckley: Interim Director of the Center for Native American Spirituality and Christian Study, United Methodist Church. His stories, poetry, and art have appeared in numerous journals, periodicals, books and museums.
Leticia Guardiola-Saenz: Associate Professor of Christian Scriptures at Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry. She’s a frequent writer and speaker on New Testament topics.

The theme for this retreat is “The Power of Story.” Join with us in weaving our personal stories with God’s ongoing story of redemption as we deepen our faith and ministries to a world hungry for meaning. Our presenters will be Leticia Guardiola-Saenz and Ray Buckley.
A professor of New Testament studies at Seattle University, Leticia Guardiola-Saenz will use some principles of Ignatian spirituality and narrative therapy as we approach the parables of Jesus through an autobiographical lens.
Ray Buckley, Interim Director for the Center for First Nations Spirituality and a gifted story-teller, will guide us in finding meaning in the events of our lives, our cultures, and our faiths. He says the story of ourselves is found in the distilling of memory into what is meaningful and then communicating that meaning as grace to others.
